When you’re not sampling Pattaya’s nightlife, you’ll likely to be enjoying time at the beach. Long, sweeping beaches stretch the entire length of the city, providing a spacious playground for adults and children alike. Pattaya Beach and Jomtien Beach are the two longest, with facilities lining the shore. Everything you need for a relaxing day is close by, including restaurants, bars, convenience stores and shops. Sun loungers and umbrellas scattered along the shore provide comfortable seating and shade from the midday sun.

Most of the beaches in Pattaya offer a selection of watersports, including jet ski hire, wind surfing, parasailing, as well as snorkelling and kayaking. In Jomtien in particular, sailing opportunities are available from the beach. Throughout the year there are a number of national and international regattas which take place and smaller boats are readily available for hire. If you enjoy sailing, visit one of the many sailing clubs in Jomtien to try your hand at sailing yourself. Koh Larn is often a frequent meeting place for experienced sailors looking to escape the city for a day. Alternatively, if you’d rather something a little more taxing, hire a dingy by the hour from the beach instead.
